Elegance in Thirds

Back in April, I photographed a persona project with three local models.  The concept was three different women in the same dress, but each dress was a different color.  The make-up was to be non-traditional or a bit avant-garde.  I did a casting call, and several women responded.  I selected one of the models, Joy, because I had worked with her in the past on a couple of shoots.  I worked with the second model, Kelyne, on one prior shoot, and I liked her personality.  I had never worked with the third model, Lauren.  My primary HMUA was Toy Skelton.  We've worked together a couple of times, and I enjoy being around her.  The hair stylist for Joy was Vela Davis.

The location was the shoot was at Scorpion Gulch located at South Mountain Park in Phoenix, AZ.  This is a very popular location for photographs, but we didn't have any issues with people getting in the shots.  This was the first time that I photographed more than one model at a time, and I was a little nervous about it. However, I was excited about the theme, and I was working with very professional women.

I can finally share these images because they were recently published in Mimic Magazine.  There were too many to say that a particular one or two were my favorites.  I just selected at random.  Enjoy!
