Working with Family

June 02, 2017

Last month, my cousin, Shonie, came to visit her aunt, and during her stay, we spent the day together.  I put together two different looks for a photo shoot with her.  She's a fashion blogger, and an aspiring photographer.  Our first session was early in the morning, and her look was simple.  A black tube dress, Converse shoes, and a blue jean vest.  She looked adorable!  Shonie was nervous at first, as all photographers are when it comes to being on the other side of the lens, but she soon developed a rhythm.  Our location was downtown Chandler, and I was truly surprised at the different textures available for our backdrops.

After breakfast, we went to my home so that she could change for the late morning session.  We went to the Gilbert Riparian for the shoot.  We were quickly losing light so we weren't able to capture as many images as I would have liked.  All in all, the day was extremely productive, and we were both pleased with the images.
