Yesterday, I photographed my first engagement session. I'm always nervous before a session, but there was a little more anxiety tied to this one. I was photographing my daughter and her fiancé. She's our firstborn, and the wedding is later this year. Initially, she was nervous about "hiring" me because she felt that I still saw her as my little girl. Well, this is partially true. Everyone mom feels this way about their children. However, I put on my professional hat, prayed, and put on my professional hat.
We did the session in Downtown Phoenix and at a local forest preserve. We had a blast. My future son-in-law was a tad bit nervous, and didn't want to stand too close to my daughter. I quickly reassured him that he was okay.
I was able to cull them images last night, and they were able to review the images. They've selected their favorites, and I edited a couple for the "Save the Date" cards. I was so relieved when I heard their comments about the images. They were both pleased.
Here are a few of my favorites. Looking at these images, I can see the love that Chris has for my daughter, and the happiness in my daughter's eyes. God bless and keep them both.
